About Cat

Hi! I'm Cat and I make things.

When I started selling my pottery I briefly considered going with "Made by Cat" but quickly got tired of hearing, "Did a cat make this?" to which my response became "Cat... but human."

And Cat But Human was born! 

 

 I took my first ceramics class while completing a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Painting because it was a requirement, and I immediately fell in love. It's my favorite blend of practical crafting and fine art. I believe that everyone deserves to have art integrated into their daily life, and so create functional pottery decorated with original painted designs and brightly colored glazes. One of my favorite things is creating and refining new prototypes to maximize functionality and accessibility. I hope you enjoy my art and if you have one of my pieces, that it serves you and your family well for many years to come!
